City transfer

Colchester to Central London

Central London means the City, the West End, Westminster and the main terminus stations — Liverpool Street, King's Cross St Pancras, Euston, Paddington and Victoria. It is a fixed price agreed before you travel rather than a meter running through London traffic.

Worth knowing about Central London

Give us the full address

A postcode and a building name get the driver to the door. “Central London” on its own does not. The City and Victoria are a long way apart.

Congestion Charge and ULEZ

Much of central London is inside the Congestion Charge zone, and the whole of Greater London is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone. Ask the office how those apply to your drop-off when you book.

Station drop-offs

The main terminus stations each have their own set-down arrangements, and the nearest point a car can stop is not always the entrance you want. Tell the office which entrance suits you and it can be agreed before the day.

The train is the other option

Colchester has a direct line into Liverpool Street. A car tends to make sense when there are several of you, when there is luggage, or when you are travelling outside the timetable.

Ask the office before you book

The answers to these depend on your journey and the vehicle, so we would rather you heard them from the person arranging it than read a promise here.

  • Where exactly will the driver meet us?
  • How are the Congestion Charge and the ULEZ handled?
  • How long will the driver wait if we are held up?
  • Can you fit a child seat, and what does it cost?
  • What happens if I need to move or cancel the booking?
  • Can you book the return journey at the same time?
